As parents, educators, medical professionals, and business owners, our combined experience of over 40 years, has equipped our Board to be able to reach out, educate and most importantly, bring a pure-uninhibited joy to a group of extraordinary individuals and their families.  What better way can one know how to enrich the lives of those with Special Needs than by EMERSION...we have parents who are experienced by the not-so-simple means of living this journey out every day, nurses who cares and knows the medical needs of these special children, special education professionals who patiently teaches these miracles every day that they can indeed learn, and therapy specialists, who spend their days encouraging & strengthening those whose lives are affected by disabilities and special needs.  This is not just a way of life for us...its a community of like-minded families who want to partner with the communities we live in and find more ways to live and work inclusively, together, supporting each other in a way that honors those we serve and care for.

April Mishler - Co-Founder, Grant Consultant. April Mishler, a wife and mother to 3 wonderful children. Each who have their own varying degrees of Special Needs. With a BS Degree in Health Administration and over 22 years of experience working in Healthcare Account & Patient Management. She has over 17 years experience working directly with Special Needs children. She also serves as the Director of the Special Needs Ministry team at the Church of Sandhurst. Along with her dedication to S.A.M. and Camp ADAPTabilities, she also finds time to support Free Wheelchair Mission which distributes wheelchairs to special needs families in other countries.

Samantha is the mother of 4 beautiful children. She is currently a SAHM. Her background is photography/graphic design, music, & business management. Her experience comes from taking care of her medically complex daughter, providing her with 24/7 care and advocacy. She is very thankful to be able to make a difference for her daughter and others like her.

Crystal is a Florence, SC native. She is a stay at home mom to 9 year old Bentley, who attends Camp ADAPTabilities. Prior to becoming a stay at home mom she worked 10 years in mortgage and the finance industry. Crystal learned about special needs with hands on experience as her son has Cerebral palsy. Crystal is very excited for the opportunity to serve on the board.
