SPECIAL KIDS & YOUNG ADULTS!
Be An Adult assistant - Camp Counselor/buddy
This position is for adults 18 and older. Enjoy a rewarding month filled with fun, love & friends...special friends - who need someone to get to know them, be their "hands & feet & voice", and let them change your life forever! These great kids & young adults need someone to provide them with one on one support to enjoy all the activities and therapies they will experience during their summer camp. Previous experience working with special needs children or young adults, those attending college, or seeking a career or ministry in this area, is strongly recommended. We also accept those with experience in the medical and therapeutic fields who enjoy working with those with disabilities.
We are looking for adults who would be willing to volunteer there time as a buddy. We are accepting all volunteers to come help us at camp.
This position will be compensated (although we will gratefully take volunteers too!!!). This position is for Adults, those 18 and older, who preferably can commit to working the entire length of the camp during July, Monday through Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm. (Although some considerations are made for those that can only work or volunteer 1 to 2 weeks at a time)
Be a Skilled Professional
Those in the Medical field, in Nursing, Teacher, Occupational, Physical, Speech, and Vision Therapy, who are available during the month of July are also of extreme value. And if you can commit to working at least one of our weeks, compensation will be available. We do accept and consider it a true blessing if you would consider volunteering your time in these areas, as we want to offer these special kids and young adults all the therapeutic opportunities we can. You can assist during therapy sessions, educational sessions, field trips and sensory experiences. Depending on your schedule, you may not be required to be present for a full day of camp, but at least during therapy sessions.
There are many opportunities available to make a difference in the life of these Special kids and young adults. Your skilled, professional experience and advice is very important to the success of this camp and the many different types of therapeutic experiences it offers. We will offer various activities throughout the day to challenge and strengthen our campers in a way that is fun & enjoyable. Come get to know our campers and invest in the lives of those that depend on you!
Be a Volunteer
We LOVE Volunteers! We use our volunteers for our fundraisers that occur all year long. There is always “behind the scenes” work to do with social media and marketing communication. Duties would include clerical work, working at a booth, handing out flyers, and helping in any way.
